It's Friday - meaning life is good. But things could always be slightly better. The suggestion? Yago Partal's Zoo Portraits.
By now I've made my views known re: the whole let's-play-dress-up-with-animals thing, I think? If not, well hello! I'm kind-of a big fan (remember William Wegman for Acne Studios and Takkoda's Famous Faces?). And if further justification is really needed, just look at the koala rocking a serious Tommy Bahama situation - I can't be helped.
In reality Yago Partal's Zoo Portraits are quite different and therefore entirely relevant - I promise. For starters the Barcelona-based photographer has taken-on the whole zoo (even this guy - trying to pass as a squirrel) as subjects. Browse with caution however, as the images may induce a fit of sartorial envy. I mean the ostrich is practically wearing a cashmere Loro Piana blazer, while the grizzly bear looks beyond cosy in a great knit - potentially Dale?
